The 2023 Chevy Silverado’ 2500 sports a regular gas-powered 6.6-liter V-8, which has 401 horsepower & 464-pound-feet of torque & mates to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Duramax has a diesel 6.6-liter V-8 from the former generation with 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet with the ability to connect to an Allison 10-speed automatic. All of the engines can hook up with rear- or four-wheel drive with compatibility for the single- or dual-rear-wheel axle. Such gas engine and six-speed automatic work well together for controlling truck speed. However, the Duramax powertrain is most reliable for towing heaviest loads. These options prove the Silverado is the way to go.
Interior
The 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500 features a large dashboard with switchgear and a crew-cab, short-box setup with a longer wheelbase than previous models. It also has larger headspace. This Silverado comes complete with a heated steering wheel, a heated-up display, heated rear seats, and heated & ventilated front seats.
